Why do multiple MG3/MG4 devices plugged into the same powered USB hub flash red and green alternately, even after successful network and server connection?
This is caused by insufficient power supply. We recommend using one USB hub to power only one MG3 or MG4 device.Does the MG3 gateway support communication via SOCKS proxy?
The MG3 does not support SOCKS proxy communication.Can the MG3 gateway connect to the customer’s Wi-Fi network if port 123 is restricted? Does the local NTP server IP need to be set in advance, or can it be configured manually through the SmartConfig App?
Restricting port 123 does not affect Wi-Fi connectivity, but it does impact time synchronization and certificate validation. If these features are required, the server IP must be set, and manual configuration through the SmartConfig App is needed. However, our SmartConfig App does not support this feature.What should the scan restart interval be set to if the gateway requires continuous BLE scanning?
By default, our recommended setting is 100ms. Based on BLE broadcasting principles, our beacons are designed to broadcast across multiple channels in a time-shared manner by default to improve interference resistance. Each time the scan restarts, the gateway attempts to switch scanning channels. If the scan restart interval is set too long, the gateway may only scan on a single channel, which could reduce scanning efficiency.Does the MG3 or MG4 gateway support remote configuration and updates?

MG3 gateway currently does not support 802.1x RADIUS authentication, but it can support four EAP methods depending on the hardware: EAP-TLS, PEAP, EAP-TTLS, and EAP-FAST. The G1 IoT Bluetooth® Gateway supports 802.1x RADIUS authentication.
